About Carrie Underwood.

Carrie Underwood is an uncommon women. All is not well in the Fisher-Underwood household!

During a Thursday appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, Carrie Underwood joked that married life with Mike Fisher is "great" but "comes with its own wonderfulness and challenges."

PHOTOS: Carrie's style evolution

Especially since Fisher, 30, moved from his native Canada to Underwood's adopted hometown of Nashville, Tenn. (The hockey player was traded from the Ottawa Senators to the Nashville Predators in February, thus ending the long-distance aspect of their marriage.)

Underwood's complaint about the sudden cohabitation? "He came and he brought all of his crap with him," the singer, 28, complained. "Our house became...he's not a hoarder but he's close, maybe."

PHOTOS: Carrie and Mike's most romantic moments

The Grammy winner explained that Fisher kept his "hoarding" tendencies under wraps at his home. "He had it in all the guest bedrooms and he had it boxed up and stuff. He's like, 'Babe, I need more space in the closet and my heart just sinks.'"

What does her man hoard? "Shirts and stuff...He loves to shop. He's going to kill me. He has stuff come in, and I'm like, 'It's not going out fast enough. If you bring stuff in, stuff needs to go out. Do we need this shirt? It has a giant stain on the sleeve. Are we going to wear this again? No, then do something with it.' It's still hanging up there!"

Christie Brinkley

Christie Brinkley
Christie Brinkley is a famous  and supermodel in the world. She appeared on over 500  magazine covers in the 1980s, has spoken out about the dangers of nuclear power.

During an appearance Wednesday morning on Good Morning America, the 57-year-old mother discussed her concerns about the safety of nuclear power plants.

"Now with what's going on in Japan... I want to get the  message out that nuclear power plants are dangerous," Brinkley said. "We haven't contained them."

Japan's Fukushima Dai-Ichi nuclear plant was knocked out by the devastating earthquake and tsunami that rocked the country in March. Seven people died at the Fukushima plant, and radioactivity has been discovered in the local water and food.

The disaster has led to widespread concerns about the safety of nuclear plants in the United States. Brinkley points to one plant in upstate New York, just 38 miles from the center of New York City.

"Right here in New York City is just too close," Brinkley says. "If you love Broadway, if you love everything the Big Apple has to offer, we can't allow Indian Point (Energy Center) to stay open another day."

Brinkley became world famous as a model in the 1980s, along with acting in movies like National Lampoon's Vacation. She was married to musician Billy Joel, and appeared in the music video for his '80s hit Uptown Girl. She was appearing on Good Morning America to promote the new Broadway version of Chicago, featuring Brinkley in a starring role as Roxy.

Brinkley has a long history as an anti-nuclear activist. In 2007 she spoke at the United Nations, calling for the abolition of nuclear weapons.

"My real grass roots activism arose from living in proximity to Brookhaven National Laboratory on Long Island," she said then. "Radioactive tritium had been leaking unnoticed for 10 years from the reactors and was contaminating the drinking water of the Long Island aquifer which serves over 3 million people. Breast cancer rates were reported to be amongst the highest in the nation. A Rare childhood cancer, rhabdomyosarcoma, appeared in significant numbers near the lab. It made me wonder, 'Am I providing a safe environment in which my children might grow up? What kind of a world are we passing on to them?'"

The history of Ka,aba

The ka'aba
History of ka’aba.
The Ka'aba is the first house of Allah. It is the first mosque of the Muslim Ummah. The Ka’aba (literally "the cube" in Arabic) is an ancient stone structure that was built and re-built by prophets as a house of monotheistic worship. It is located inside the Grand Mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. The Ka'aba is considered the center of the Muslim world, and is a unifying focal point for Islamic worship.
Description:
The Ka'aba is a semi-cubic building that stands about 15 meters high and 10-12 meters wide. It is an ancient, simple structure made of granite. In the SE corner, a black meteorite (the "Black Stone") is embedded in a silver frame. Stairs on the north side lead to a door which allows entry to the interior, which is hollow and empty. The Ka'aba is covered with a kiswah, a black silk cloth which is embroidered in gold with verses from the Qur'an. The kiswah is re-done and replaced once a year.
History:
According to the Qur'an, the Ka'aba was built by the prophet Abraham and his son Ishmael as a house of monotheistic worhip. However, by the time of Muhammad, the Ka'aba had been taken over by pagan Arabs to house their numerous tribal gods. In 630 A.D., Muhammad and his followers took over leadership of Mecca after years of persecution. Muhammad destroyed the idols inside the Ka'aba and re-dedicated it as a house of monotheistic worship.
Role in Muslim Worship:
It should be noted that Muslims do not worship the Ka'aba and its environs. Rather, it serves as a focal and unifying point among the Muslim people. During daily prayers, Muslims face toward the Ka'aba from wherever they are in the world (this is known as "facing the qiblah"). During the annual pilgrimage ("Hajj"), Muslims walk around around the Ka'aba in a counter-clockwise direction (a ritual known as "tawaf"). A man who saw the ka,aba directly, he/she is very lucky man in the world.

  Family History of Laila Ali.

Laila Ali was born on 30 dec. 1977, Miami beach, Florida,USA.Her height : 5' 10" (1.78 m). She is a great boxer in the world.
As the daughter of one of the most famous boxers in history, Laila Ali already had a lot to live up to in terms of general success -- let alone success as a boxer. Nonetheless, the child of World Heavyweight Champion Muhammad_Ali and his wife Veronica_Porsche_Ali entered the world of professional women's boxing in 1999 at the age of 21, knocking out opponent April Fowler in the first round. laila ali hot laila ali boxing laila ali pregnant laila ali baby laila ali and muhammad ali laila ali gladiator.
Laila Ali

The impressive debut was no fluke: Ali went on to win eight more fights in a row, beat Jackie Frazier-Lyde (daughter of boxing champ Joe_Frazier) in 2001 in the first-ever all women's Pay Per View main event, win the IBA title, and win the

WIBA and IWBF titles in a single fight, as they were both held by Valerie Mahfood, whom Ali beat in a knockout after eight rounds.

The second-generation boxing champion hadn't always intended to follow in her father's footsteps. On the contrary, Ali had a degree in business management from Santa Monica College and was the owner and operator of an upscale nail salon in Southern California

when she saw a boxing match on TV and instantly felt drawn to the sport. The risk she took in selling her business to train for such a drastic career change turned out to be well worth it, but even as Ali found more success in the ring she continued to pursue new projects.

She appeared in the 2006 sports drama All_You've_Got, and in 2007 she made what many didn't realize was a natural transition onto the dance floor, joining the ranks of Dancing with the Stars.

The delicate foot coordination that a boxer uses to shift and maintain balance made her a strong contender, and audiences loved her, voting to keep she and her partner Maksim_Chmerkovskiy on the show for many weeks; they ended up coming in third place.

history of St Martin

St Martin
History of St Martin
St Martin is a beautiful place in the world. Before Columbus arrived here during his second voyage in 1493, the island had already been inhabited for some one thousand years. The first people to settle here were a tribe of Arawak Indians who left their homeland in the Orinoco basin of South America and kept migrating upwards along the chain of islands in the Caribbean. They gave it the name "Sualouiga" meaning "Land of Salt" for the salt-pans and the brackish water they found here in great abundance. The few fresh water springs around Paradise Peak, Mount William, Billy Folly, and in the Lowlands could only support a small population, and this is where they mainly tended to congregate. A number of artifacts from this period are to be found preserved in the St.Martin Museum: On the Trail of the Arawaks. The Arawaks were later supplanted by a more aggressive tribe of Indians, the Caribs, who came down from North America and for whom the entire Caribbean is named.
Columbus never actually set foot on the island, but rather claimed it for Spain as he was passing by. He sighted the island on November 11, 1493, the feast of St.Martin, thus giving the island its name. Aside from asserting title to the place, the Spanish never took much interest in St.Martin, so the Dutch, seeking an outpost halfway between their colonies in Brazil and Nieue Amsterdam (now New York), occupied the island in 1631. The Dutch West India Company installed Jan Claeszen van Campen as governor, erected their first fort on the site of Fort Amsterdam, and began to mine salt. Before long, however, the Spanish, who wished to maintain their state monopoly in this essential preservative, became aware of the incursion and in 1633 they recaptured the island, expelling all of the Dutch, who then moved on to occupy Curaçao.
Over the next fifteen years, a number of abortive attempts were made by the Dutch to reclaim their lost possession, notably an assault led by Peter Stuyvesant in 1644 in which the future governor of Nieue Amsterdam lost his leg. The Spanish Commander, who was regularly besieged during this period, asked permission after his last victory to abandon the island, and in 1647 this right was finally conceded to him by the King of Spain. Laborers were brought in from Puerto Rico to dismantle the fortress, and the Spanish set sail, leaving behind, according to legend, a small contingent of French and Dutch who hid on the island and then sent out to neighboring colonies for reinforcements.
How the Dutch and French finally partitioned the island makes for a great story. Supposedly, the two groups held a contest. Starting at Oysterpond on the east coast, they would walk westwards -- the French along the northern edge, the Dutch along the southern -- and where they met they would draw a dividing line across the island. The French set off, having fortified themselves with wine, the Dutch with gin. The ill effects of the gin, however, caused the Dutchmen to stop along the way to sleep off their drunk; consequently, the French were able to cover a much greater distance. In truth, though, the French had a large navy just off shore at the time the treaty was being negotiated, and they were able to win concessions by threat of force. The treaty was signed on top of Mount Concordia in 1648, but despite the reputation for peaceful cohabitation, the border was to change another 16 times until 1815 when the Treaty of Paris fixed the boundaries for good.
The cultivation of sugar cane introduced slavery onto the island, and hundreds of African men, women, and children were imported for this purpose. The French finally abolished slavery on July 12, 1848 -- a date now celebrated as Schoelcher Day. The Dutch slaves were emancipated 15 years later. Following the end of slavery, the island entered a serious depression that lasted until 1939, when the island was declared a duty-free port. The Dutch began developing a tourist industry in the 1950's, but the French didn't take advantage of this opportunity until the 1970's. St.Martin continued its large-scale construction projects throughout the 1980's, but now most of the development has been completed, and great care has been taken to preserve the island's natural resources.

Today, St.Martin is a commune of Guadeloupe which is an overseas department of France. Islanders are entitled to vote in French elections.Everybody should visit the St martin.

Indian ' Living God' in critical condition- Doctors

AFP/File – Indian religious guru Satya Sai Baba (C) greets followers in 1999. Sai Baba, known for his apparent miracles …
HYDERABAD, India (AFP-Tuesday) –Doctors said that, “one of India's best-known spiritual leaders, known for his apparent miracles and long list of influential followers, is on life support in hospital”.
Satya Sai Baba, 85, who has devotees in more than 100 countries, was admitted to a hospital funded by his organisation in the southern town of Puttaparthi with lung and chest congestion on March 28.
His condition has since deteriorated and he was now on a ventilator and receiving kidney dialysis, the most recent health bulletin from the hospital said on Tuesday.
He remained "critical," although his "level of consciousness has considerably improved" and his vital systems are "stable", said the update from the Sri Satya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences.
Thousands of followers have begun arriving in Puttaparthi, home to Sai Baba's ashram in the southeastern state of Andhra Pradesh, with many agitated by conflicting information given out by local authorities.
Government officials have sought to play down the seriousness of his condition, while police are preventing groups from gathering in the town and well-wishers from assembling outside the hospital, local reports said.
"I am confident that all this will be over and Baba will give darshan (appear to his followers) soon," Sanjeev Singh, a devotee from Uttar Pradesh, told the Press Trust of India.
"Baba is god. This is only temporary," Mirek, a devotee from Poland, told the news agency.
The wild-haired leader has a following of millions in India and abroad, many of whom believe him to be a living god, and the reincarnation of the great holy man, Sai Baba of Shirdi, who died in 1918.
Sai Baba, who claims to have performed several miracles including bringing men back to life, counts former Indian prime ministers, top businessmen and even the country's cricketers among his devotees.
His organisation funds health and education projects in India, including a string of hospitals that claim to be able to cure ailments beyond the capabilities of mainstream medicine.
He and Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, the so-called "hugging saint" of Kerala, are the best known of thousands of Hindu ascetics who can be found wandering the streets or teaching to followers in their ashrams.
The swami was born in Andhra Pradesh, in an event shrouded in mystery.
One hagiographical account by a biographer recounts the mysterious sounding of drums signalled his impending birth.
In his teens he is said to have begun singing verses in Sanskrit, a language of which he had no prior knowledge, and then became able to materialise flowers and sweets to the astonishment of observers.
His devotees also credit him with an ability to remember his past lives, a frequent claim of Indian holy men, and he is believed to produce sacred ash every day.
His work in education and health have won him widespread acclaim and respectability, but his reputation has also been damaged by allegations of sexual abuse and paedophilia.
A BBC programme in 2004 called "The Secret Swami" featured interviews with former followers who claimed Sai Baba took advantage of them. The allegations were denied by the spiritual leader's organisation.

Kate Plus Eight's family history.

Kate Plus Eight is a famous producer. He is one of five children; she has three sisters and a brother. Jon is the middle child of three boys. The couple met on October 5, 1997 at a picnic and they were married on June 12, 1999.
The Gosselins' desire to start a family was impeded by infertility. Kate underwent medical testing and was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome. The couple then turned to fertility treatments. In February 2000, Kate became pregnant with twins. Cara Nicole was born six minutes before her sister Madelyn Kate on October 8, 2000.
They began thinking of having more children and, according to Kate, a biracial infant of a teenage girl named Jamie became available to adopt while Kate was an obstetrics nurse. They decided not to adopt baby Jeremiah, as he was later named, but instead returned to fertility treatment. In October 2003, Kate became pregnant again. Five weeks later, (after being hospitalized for over-stimulated ovaries) at the initial ultrasound, the doctor announced that there were six sacs with seven yolks (embryos). According to Kate, this was emotional news for them. The doctor suggested selective reduction, but the couple was strongly against it.
The sextuplets were born on May 10, 2004, ten weeks premature, which is common in multiple births at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershe, Pennsylvania, and were named Alexis Faith, Hannah Joy, Aaden Jonathan, Collin Thomas, Leah Hope and Joel Kevin. All six children were delivered via C-section within a span of three minutes with 75 doctors, nurses and other specialists involved. Because the sextuplets were born in Hershey, they were called "Hershey's Kisses" by the nurses and doctors who delivered them. In late 2008, the family moved from their Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania home to a larger residence in Lower Heidelberg Township, Pennsylvania.

Longest and greatest Sea-beach.

Cox's Bazar  is a town of natural beauty. It is a  fishing port and district headquarter’s in Bangladesh. It is a greatest and longest sandy sea beach in the world. It is an unbroken 125 km sandy sea beach with a gentle slope. It is located 150  km south of Chittagong. Cox’s Bazar is also known by the name "Panowa", the literal translation of which means "yellow flower". Its other old name was "Palongkee". The modern Cox's Bazar derives its name from Captain Cox (died 1799), an officer serving in British India. In the 18th century, an officer of British East India Company, Captain Hiram Cox was appointed as the Superintendent of Palongkee outpost after Warren Hastings became the Governor of Bengal. Captain Cox was specially mobilised to deal with a century long conflict between Arakan refugees and local Rakhains. The Captain was a compassionate soul and the plight of the people touched his heart. He embarked upon the mammoth task of rehabilitating refugees in the area, and made significant progress. A premature death took Captain Cox in 1799 before he could finish his work. But the work he had done earned him a place in the hearts of the locals and to commemorate his role in rehabilitation work a market was established and named after him as Cox's Bazaar ("Cox's Market"). Although Cox's Bazar is one of the most visited tourist destinations in Bangladesh, it has yet to become a major international tourist destination, due to lack of publicity. It’s proud of Bangladeshi. Everybody should visit this sea beach.
